Cybersmart Challenge – Google Docs 101

Task Description: For this weeks Cybersmart Challenge, it was a Google Docs “Scavenger Hunt”.  The google doc had a series of tasks to do, the first one was to change the bullet points into a checklist. Above is my work!

Cybersmart – Caring for my Chromebook

Task Description: For the week 2 Cybersmart Challenge, it was about caring for your Chromebook. The task was to watch a video, pause and screenshot whenever a student was showing the kawa of care. After that, you insert the screenshot under the caption on the slide that matches it.

Putting my Chromebook back into the case before I carry it / go outside keeps it safe.

Grammar Challenge

Task Description: For reading, there is a weekly choice board. The weekly choice board has a reading challenge, a grammar challenge, there is also a choice where you can just read with someone. For this week, I chose to do the grammar challenge. Above is the grammar challenge, basically you put the correct punctuation marks at the end of sentences that need a specific punctuation mark.

Term 1 Week 6 Vocab Pyramids

Task Description: For week 6 reading, one of the Monday ‘Must Dos’ was vocab pyramids. The vocab pyramid is basically, word, the definition of the word,  a sentence containing the word, and synonyms for the word. For each reading group there is a word list, those are the words you are supposed to use for the vocabulary pyramids.  Each reading group has different words in their lists because the words are from the different books/texts each reading group has. Above is the work I did!

That Was Summer

That Was Summer

Have you ever felt summer?

Sure you have.

Remember that time,

When you got out of the cold refreshing pool?

Remember the weather being so hot that you could already feel yourself getting dry before even using your towel?

That was summer.

Have you ever heard summer?

Sure you have.

Remember that time,

When you walked back into your room after a fun time outside, the air inside being so boiling hot that you could almost see it? Remember opening the window for some fresh air, the chatting of the cicadas filling your ears?

That was summer.

Have you ever seen summer?

Sure you have.

Remember that time,

When you were taking a walk, and as you passed a house you saw gorgeous flower bushes? Remember all the honey bees collecting nectar and pollen, buzzing and jumping from one flower to the other?

That was summer.

Have you ever smelt summer?

Sure you have.

Remember that time,

When you woke in the morning, finally not drenched in sweat because of the rain last night?

Remember opening the window so that the condensation on your windows would go away, the smell of petrichor filling your lungs?

That was summer.

Task Description: For writing during week 1 & 2, Team Tui wrote about either summer or Christmas  and put it in sort of the same format as ‘That was summer’ by Marci Ridlon. Above is my writing for this task!
