Measuring Angles With Protractors

Task Description: For maths, were are learning about how to measure angles with protractors! When you measure an angle, you have to put one ray at 0°. You also have to put the intersection of the rays inside the small circle on the protractor. In the image above the question is “Is this angle acute, right or obtuse?”. An Acute angle is a angle less than 90° while and Obtuse angle is a angle more than 90°. A Right angle is exactly 90°. The angle in the image is a 90 angle because 60 – 150 is 90. 👍

IXL Measurements

Task Description:

For maths, we learnt about measurement! We’re learning how to be confident when measuring things. We did this on IXL, you had to drag the ruler and measure objects. When you want to measure something, you must have one end on the 0 cm mark, then you can properly measure it. After you measured it, our teacher also told us to convert it to millimetres. The swordfish in the image is 19 centimetres, but when you convert it to millimetres its 190 millimetres.
